Oh, how I miss La Jolla, California — not the hills, but the views definitely made it worth it!

This year, Chance tackled the half marathon, and let me tell you — this race really kicked my butt! LOL. But the funny thing is… I’ll try it again next year. The scenery is absolutely incredible, and the people you meet along the way are super friendly.

I met a couple from Arizona and another couple from San Antonio. The after party and expo were on point. Food was a little pricey, but the food trucks were delicious.

The race had an early start, but buses took us to the starting line and back afterwards — super convenient. And for the 5K, the course starts downhill, and I mean really downhill!

Hills aside, La Jolla is a must-run race — beautiful, fun, and full of great energy.
